Baldheads

I've noticed over the years that many of my favorite pastors are bald

Francis Chan
Tim Keller
Dudley Rutherford
Steve Clifford

...

and the list goes on.

Yesterday, I heard this at church:

"God created a lot of heads. The ones he didn't like, he just decided to cover with hair."

No wonder those bears MAULED the kids in 2 Kings.

:D

Humble King

This week, a lot of the bitterness from past hurts resurfaced.

Tired from people. That's kinda the story of my life.

And so I was bitter on Christmas eve and the thoughts that I had a year ago of forgetting about people forever came to mind again.

Until I was reminded that...

the

omnipotent
omniscient
omnipresent

Almighty GOD, whose mere thoughts could bring forth creation,

was born on earth in a feeding trough. As a crying, drooling, hungry baby.

If anyone had the right to be bitter, it'd be Jesus Christ.

Yet He came to earth to die for me. And He did.

That's the REAL story of my life. Once was lost, now I'm SAVED.

Merry Christmas, friends. We are loved.

"The person who tries to live alone will not succeed as a human being. His heart withers if it does not answer another heart."

A silly sidenote:

Having just moved into our house in SJ, my family was a little slow in putting up the Christmas decorations this year. Check out the oven mit above the fireplace. Um...fobby?! :)

Sunrise

87S 6:45 am 12/24/2010

I had to drop off a friend at the airport and ended up driving back to the southbay as the sun rose. This was what I saw as Casting Crowns played in the background.

You're greater than my yesterdays, You hold me close today
You're the Lord of my tomorrows, my heart will always say

Your mercy saved me, mercy made me whole
Your mercy found me, called me as Your own

Sweet moment.

Note: I'm really going to try to stop taking pictures as I drive.

And The Angels Rejoiced

Boston was incredible. Indescribably awesome.

I think the most encouraging thing I heard this weekend was:

"Tell your dad I'm going to get baptized!"

My parents moved to California 3 years ago.

Keep scattering the seeds. God WILL grow!
