Football

Some of my greatest spiritual and life lessons came from my dad on Sunday afternoons. He would watch football games, drink beer and comment on how life is a battle, just like football. It requires strength, discipline and perseverance. And a brain. Really.

I remember I once was crying over some flute audition as if it were the end of the world and my dad just stared at the TV and started talking about football. He always says to me, “You haven’t even fought the battle and you’ve already given up!”

I bet Solomon would've coached football if he were alive today. It requires a lot of wisdom to be a good one.

Oh, why am I talking about this?

Because I think you should read "Quiet Strength" by Tony Dungy.
